On 7th March 2007, Chairman of the London Regional Group, Chris Belcher, led a workshop on the subject of the new LPA forms. The event was held at Withers LLP and during the evening Chris presented slides showing the layout and content of the most recent version of the LPA forms issued in January by the DCA to stakeholder bodies (including SFE).
The evening was a great success with much debate being generated and many good ideas being formed during the evening. Members of the Group still have significant doubts about LPAs, but can now begin to consider how they will approach the introduction of the new forms, the drafting problems they may encounter and other issues such as whether or not to act as a certificate-provider.
The London Group's next meeting will be in June (date and venue to be confirmed) when Chris Munday of Withers LLP will speak on the subject of removing an incapacitated trustee from office. |
