WHO                                      David Coldrick Partner at Wrigleys Sheffield

 

·       His book 'Coldrick on Care Home Fees' published in 2005 has been very well

received by the profession.  This replaces his previous book 'Protecting the Assets of Older People'.

 

·      The second edition of his book 'Coldrick on Personal Injury Trusts' has just been published.  The previous edition of this book was the first major work on all aspects of personal injury trusts

 

·      He is Editor of Elderly Client Adviser magazine. He has also been a member of its Editorial Board since July 2001.

 

·      He has also contributed articles to Tax Adviser (Chartered Institute of Taxation Journal.), Personal Injury Law Journal (Legalease), Trusts and Estates (Legalease), Taxation (LexisNexis) Financial Adviser (FT) Association of Personal Injury Lawyers Journal, Law Society Probate Section magazine, and many other publications.

 

·      He has spoken at innumerable conferences including: Law Society National Probate Section Conference 2003, STEP London Conference May 2003, STEP Essex Conference May 2003, Solicitors For The Elderly National Conference 2003, SIFA national Conference 2002, local Law Society Talks, ICAEW Elder Care Conference 2002, and various CIT conferences. He has also lectured for CLT including at their 6th Annual Trusts Conference in January 2003 and will speak at their 9th in 2005. He will also be chairing the CLT Personal Injury Trusts Conference in 2005.

 

·      He has also presented a paper to senior health and social services professionals at the Scientific Societies Lecture Theatre in October 2002 on the new Single Assessment Process for older people.

 

·      He was appointed as the solicitor member to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales 'Through Life Care Group' in July 2002. This national committee is seeking to enhance accountancy services for older people and carers and to generally support profile raising of elder care related issues.

 

·      David was recently asked to be an examiner for the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners.
