John Ellery is HM Coroner for Mid & North Shropshire .  He was appointed Assistant Deputy Coroner on the 1st April 1995, Deputy Coroner on 1st April 1998 and HM Coroner on the 1st April 2003.  He has been a partner in the firm of Messrs. Bowdlers at Shrewsbury since 1981 specialising in Civil Litigation and financial aspects on divorce.  He is past President of the West Midlands and Central Wales Coroners' Society and Past President of the Shropshire Law Society.  He also sits as a Deputy District Judge on the Wales & Chester Circuit.
